About the Role

Level - 3

Department- Finance - Actuarial

Location - Southampton

Contract – Permanent

In this role, you will support the delivery of Quilter’s financial and regulatory reporting at entity level. You will also be part of the team responsible for delivering Quilter’s capital and liquidity business plans. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders across the business and work closely with Finance colleagues, gaining exposure to all areas of the Quilter business.

Key responsibilities

1. Support the delivery of month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reporting cycles, ensuring accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting for Solvency II and Investment Firms Prudential Regime (IFPR).

2. Support Solvency II calculations, such as the best estimate liability (BEL), risk margin, and Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR) calculations.

3. Support the movement analysis for the solvency metrics, including through experience investigations and the assumption setting process.

4. Support the drafting of component reports for the Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment (ICARA) process.

5. Support the production of regulatory returns to a high standard.

6. Support the annual experience investigation and Solvency II assumption setting process.

7. Support the annual scenario testing exercise.

8. Support the annual operational risk calculation.

9. Work with complex capital modelling software; maintain strong processes and controls.

10. Support the annual business planning process.

11. Drive continuous improvements to reporting systems and processes.

12. Collaborate with Tax, FP&A, Accounting, and Risk on reporting matters.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

13. Excellent organisation and planning skills.

14. High attention to detail and accuracy.

15. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.

16. Strong analytical skills.

17. Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

18. Ability to manage stakeholders effectively.

19. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to change in a complex environment.

20. Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly.

Desirable Skills & Experience

21. Experience in financial reporting within the UK financial services and insurance sector.

22. Experience in process improvement.

23. Experience using actuarial techniques and actuarial modelling software, e.g. RiskAgility Financial Modeller (RAFM).

24. Experience working with large, complex data sets.

25. Familiarity with Quilter’s reporting systems (e.g. CDM, Workday)

26. Knowledge of regulatory reporting under the Investment Firms Prudential Regime and/or Solvency II

You may be interested in progressing towards actuarial exams with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), in which case an actuarial study support package will be considered.
