An exciting opportunity has arisen Dorrington House Watton is looking to build a brand-new team of four experienced Team Leaders, the home has made numerous improvements and is looking to build a dynamic team, supported by the Deputy Manager and Manager, to carry on making good progress.
We're seeking caring and compassionate individuals with good experience in care, individuals who enjoys interacting with residents and leading staff in a positive direction. Candidates must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing our residents with high quality care and support.
Principal Responsibilities
· Provide leadership and support for care staff
· To administer medication in line with the medication policy.
· Supervise care staff daily and carry out supervisions on a 3-monthy basis.
· Liaise with GPs and other health professionals as and when required.
· Provide person centred care.
· Have good communication skills and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
· Support staff with induction programmes, training and competencies.
· Adapt to the changing work environment with a positive attitude.
· To undertake appropriate training, as determined by the Home Manager.
· Be accountable for your actions and be able to provide the Management Team with clear facts.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience working in a care home at supervisory level and a level 3 in Health and Social care or working towards one. The role alternate weekends.
12-hour shift pattern - 19:45 – 08:00
