About the Role
As a Senior Solicitor, you will bring autonomy to handle complex clinical negligence cases from inception to completion, ensuring proactive, commercially focused case management. You will correspond with clients, medical experts, and stakeholders to maintain strong, supportive relationships and drive success for the team.

Main Responsibilities
* Provide support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers.
* Proactive and commercial case management and progression.
* Support the Team Leader in ensuring the delivery of the team’s financial performance KPIs.
* Effective and thorough time recording.
* Discuss and agree case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and members of the team.
* Identify cases ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team.
* Work with the team to ensure that relevant information is being collected and collated to enable progression of the case.
* Manage a caseload in a proactive commercial manner.
* Co‑ordinate the progression of cases with all internal and external parties.
* Draft legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction.
* Negotiate settlement and issue and service proceedings should it be required.
* Oversee the documentation and correspondence produced by the team.
* Advise the team on any technical issues arising from the case.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Recent experience of handling a case load.
* 8 years+ PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and drafting skills.
* Excellent IT skills especially in Microsoft Office packages, Proclaim and Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment.
* Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring.
* Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines.
* Excellent client care skills.
