Job Summary
We are a small family run business who thrive on customer satisfactions and quietly and looking to expand. We are seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will have good mechanical knowledge and use of hand and power tools. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality service to our customers.
A company van will be provided for business use
Duties
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brakes, starter motors etc
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and replacements.
* Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
* Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Should have own basic tools for general tasks, all diagnostic and specialised tools provided by business.
* A relevant qualification in automotive engineering or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required.
