Requirement: Must be able to drive due to limited public transport access
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Hassocks supporting students with Autism. This full-time, term-time-only role involves helping students engage with learning in a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
The school has excellent facilities, including large outdoor spaces, gardening areas, and animals on site, providing a calm and engaging setting for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with Autism in the classroom and around the school
* Provide individualised support to promote engagement, independence, and learning
* Work closely with teaching staff to implement strategies and interventions
* Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social development
* Follow safeguarding procedures at all times
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience supporting students with Autism
* Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive practice
* Patient, calm, and supportive approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for working with students with SEN
