Overview
Locum Consultant in Haematology required as maternity leave cover for the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC). The successful applicant will join a friendly and enthusiastic team and work within a supportive service covering North Cumbria. Part-time applications will be considered. GMC registration is required. The post is based at the Cumberland Infirmary with an integrated service covering West Cumberland Hospital, providing level 2A Clinical Haematology care for NCIC patients.

Location and duties
The post will be based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, with an integrated service covering West Cumberland Hospital. The team currently includes Consultant Haematologists based at the Cumberland Infirmary, with on‑call cover provided via a joint rota through an SLA with neighbouring Trusts. Outpatient facilities are available on both the Cumberland Infirmary site and the West Cumberland Hospital site. Radiotherapy and Oncology services are provided by Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as described in the original document.
About NCIC and facilities
The NCIC team includes a Haematology laboratory on both the Cumberland Infirmary and West Cumberland Hospital sites. Clinical leadership includes the Clinical Director of Pathology and Haematology leadership within the trust. Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides Oncology, parenteral chemotherapy and radiotherapy services to this area.
