Mobile Vehicle Technician – SMR Division
Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division – a new era of mobile repair.
Location & Salary
Huddersfield, West Yorkshire – Up to £52,000 OTE. Full time, 40 hours per week. 1 in 4 Saturdays.
Responsibilities
* Provide routine servicing.
* Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
* Carry out in‑depth repairs normally completed in a workshop.
* Give member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
* Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
* Manage clear digital schedules and pre‑booked appointments.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
* Strong technical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent people skills – friendly, clear communication with members.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to varying tasks.
