Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger professional to join a busy and supportive finance team, where you’ll take responsibility for processing high volumes of purchase invoices with accuracy and efficiency. The role involves matching invoices to purchase orders, resolving discrepancies, managing supplier accounts and handling queries via email and telephone. You’ll assist with regular payment runs, reconcile supplier statements, investigate variances and ensure all financial records are maintained in line with internal controls and deadlines. The position also offers exposure to wider finance tasks, providing the chance to support the team with ad‑hoc duties and develop broader accounts experience within a fast‑paced environment.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will thrive in this role bybining strong attention to detail with a structured and organised approach to their workload, whether operating as a Purchase Ledger, Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant. They’ll need a solid understanding of core finance processes, including invoice processing, reconciliations and payments, alongside the confidence to manage supplier and internal queries professionally. Being proactive, dependable and adaptable is key, as the role requires managing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment while supporting the wider finance function. Strongmunication skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team will ensure they quickly add value and succeed in the position.
You will need to be immediately available and able tomit to a 3 month assignment. You must be able to get to Stratford Upon Avon x3 times a week.
