They are expanding their team and looking for an electrically biased and experienced Automation Maintenance Engineer to join the team
Role Overview:
This role is suited to experienced and safety-focused engineers seeking to develop their careers in a dynamic, high-throughput logistics environment. As part of a dedicated 8-person engineering team, you will maintain and optimise high-speed parcel sortation and conveyor systems, including Siemens PLC-based controls, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance and fault-finding on automated sortation systems, conveyors, and associated machinery.
* Work shifts across days, afternoons, and evenings as part of a rotating pattern.
* Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
* Support upgrades and modifications of Siemens PLC-based control systems.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure seamless coverage and support.
Candidate Requirements:
* Strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering within an automation, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
* Electrical bias preferred, but mechanical engineers who are electrically competent are also welcome.
* Experience working with Siemens PLCs and automated control systems highly desirable.
* Confident in reading and interpreting technical schematics and manuals.
* Proactive, team-oriented, and capable of working independently when needed.
* Flexible and reliable approach to working hours and responsibilities.
