We are currently seeking an experienced Van Mobile Supervisor (Plumbing Bias) to join a growing contract covering 6 schools in the Bedford area. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step into a leadership role while remaining hands:on, with clear progression as the contract continues to expand.
; The Role
This is a working supervisor position, where you'll lead from the front-supporting your team on the tools while overseeing daily operations. As the contract grows, the role will naturally evolve into a more supervisory:focused position.
; Key Responsibilities
: Overseeing and carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
: Managing reactive works, emergency breakdowns, and minor projects
: Ensuring all work is completed safely, in line with regulations, and within contractual timeframes
: Completing and reviewing all required paperwork, reports, and compliance documentation
: Notifying clients of remedial works and ensuring timely completion
: Line managing a team of engineers and operatives, including training and development
: Ensuring all mandatory training and e:learning is completed and up to date
: Coordinating with the Helpdesk to ensure effective resource allocation
: Participating in an on:call escalation rota to provide out:of:hours support
: Supporting the Contract Manager and assisting the team as required
: Carrying out audits where necessary to maintain service standards

: Strong background in plumbing (essential)
: Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role
: Comfortable balancing hands:on work with leadership responsibilities
: Strong understanding of compliance, safety, and maintenance processes
: Excellent communication and organisational skills
