🔑 Key Responsibilities
🌐 Account Management
* Manage an existing portfolio of mid-market commercial clients across multiple industries
* Build long-term client relationships through regular contact, renewals, and strategic reviews
* Conduct detailed fact-finds to understand client exposures and insurance needs
* Prepare and present renewal strategies, market submissions, and programme recommendations
* Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant client documentation
🤝 Broking & Technical Work
* Negotiate competitive terms and enhancements with insurers
* Review policy wordings, endorsements, and schedules
* Support clients through claims, ensuring fair and timely outcomes
* Stay up to date with market trends and regulatory developments
📈 New Business Development
* Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities via networking, referrals, marketing, and cross-selling
* Prepare proposals and deliver presentations to prospective clients
* Achieve new business and retention targets
🗂 Compliance & Administration
* Maintain accurate records in line with FCA standards
* Adhere to compliance, conduct risk, and TCF requirements
* Contribute to continuous improvement across the team
🙌 What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 5 years commercial insurance experience
* At least 3 years in an Account Executive or Senior Account Handler role
* Strong understanding of mid-market commercial insurance and the broking lifecycle
* Proven relationship management and negotiation skills
* Ability to win, retain, and grow business
* Cert CII / Dip CII (or working towards) highly desirable
* Excellent communication, organisation, and presentation skills
* Self-driven, target-focused, and collaborative
