Part-Time Purchase Ledger Clerk (22.5 hours per week over 3 days)
Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to support their finance team. You will ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time, handle queries, and maintain smooth day-to-day accounts payable operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Process invoices and credit notes
* Set up supplier accounts
* Reconcile statements and prepare payments
* Process bank payments (fast/next-day)
* Handle invoice queries and maintain accurate records
* Support contra payments with the sales ledger
Skills & Experience
* Previous purchase ledger/accounts experience
* Knowledge of Sage or similar systems advantageous
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and email skills
* Well organised, reliable, and able to meet deadlines
* Basic IT skills and good numeracy/literacy
* Forwarding/logistics experience is desirable
