The department
The Residential Property Team comprises 60+ members operating across offices, working together as one team. Enfranchisement is a specialist and growing sector with three full-time fee earners, a paralegal and Team Leader.
Purpose of the job
To provide professional and dedicated support to the Residential Property team, working as part of a busy, growing practice to assist a team leader with high-quality administrative and conveyancing support.
Accountabilities
* Update clients and agents regularly and provide email and phone cover when the team leader is unavailable
* Draft contract packs and ad hoc letters
* Prepare files for completion and attend to post-completion matters through to file closure
* Show initiative in responding to queries and seek solutions to problems
* Support and build working relationships with the team leader and wider team
* Liaise with staff from other departments and external contacts as required
* Accurately maintain and update client and other relevant contact details on the firm’s database
* Process forms including client questionnaires and anti-money laundering forms
* Maintain compliant and accurate file management and office systems
* Proofread all work for spelling and grammar
* Prepare report bundles electronically and manually
* Prepare completion statements and accounts forms
* Schedule and manage deeds to keep records up to date
* Clarify instructions from fee earners if unclear or deadlines are not explicit
The candidate
You should have a passion for property, an understanding of confidentiality, and the ability to work at pace with high attention to detail. You will provide high-quality administrative support, contribute to continuous improvements and work collaboratively to maintain consistency across the team.
