Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing
Location: Surbiton
Salary: Up to £60,000 car allowance benefits
About the Role:
We are partnering with a tier one property services contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Surbiton. This role will focus on delivering social housing reactive maintenance projects, working closely with clients and contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery and financial control.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and prepare cost plans, valuations, and final accounts for social housing maintenance projects.
2. Undertake commercial management of contracts, including measurement, pricing, and reporting.
3. Ensure compliance with the NHF Schedule of Rates, demonstrating strong knowledge and application across projects.
4. Provide proactive advice on cost, procurement, and risk to project teams.
5. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and contractual compliance.
6. Support the continuous improvement of processes and systems within the QS team.
Requirements:
7. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing or property services.
8. Strong working knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates.
9. Experience in reactive maintenance projects is highly desirable.
10. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
11. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
