Lead Geospatial Engineer
I am looking for a Lead Geospatial Engineer to lead geospatial operations on a high-profile construction project, managing a small team of surveyors and engineers while providing technical leadership to the wider project team.
The Role
As Lead Geospatial Engineer, you will oversee all geospatial and surveying activities across the site. Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers and construction teams, you will ensure accurate setting out, robust survey control and high-quality geospatial data management to support successful project delivery.
You will also lead and coordinate a small geospatial team, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all geospatial and surveying activities across the project.
- Manage and support a small team of surveyors/geospatial engineers.
- Produce, manage, extend and maintain site wide control networks and datum control
- Provide accurate setting-out data to support construction operations.
- Establish and maintain survey control networks across the site.
- Produce and manage As-Built drawings and QA documentation.
- Capture, manage and maintain survey and geospatial data in line with project protocols.
- Prepare technical reports and survey updates for project stakeholders.
- Work closely with project management and engineering teams to advise on geospatial matters.
About You
- Experience as a Geospatial Engineer, Senior Surveyor, or Land Surveyor within construction or civil engineering.
- Experience leading or supervising a surveying/geospatial team on site.
- Technical qualifications such as a degree in a relevant discipline.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and Health & Safety requirements.
- Experience using Trimble Business Centre, AutoCAD and Trimble surveying equipment.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
