We have casual vacancies to join our teams of Driver / Handlers at Meals on Wheels in: Buckhaven based at Levenmouth Academy Dunfermline based at Dunfermline High School Kirkcaldy based at Ostlers Care Home The post ensures meals are delivered to the homes of service users who have pre ordered meals. Hours are mainly between 10am to 2pm over 7 days a week –These posts are casual which means you could be asked to work any day of the week. Casual staff receive payments in lieu of annual leave for hours worked. You will earn a competitive rate of pay at £12.67 per hour and have access to a range of benefits, including: We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.67 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends. This work is about providing daily delivery of meals to service users on a specified daily route. Advising line manager regarding client welfare if required along with an understanding of client confidentiality. Completing relevant paperwork and general kitchen duties. Training to achieve an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate will be given.. The Person Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. A full driving licence is essential for this post. Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team. You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
