Objective
To lead, manage and develop an established portfolio of security contracts in Central London. Responsible for the effective operational and administrative management of the service delivery of the portfolio of client contracts. Deliver an effective 1st class security service, lead a large team of officers and managers, support senior leadership in marketing, sales and tendering for new business.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years demonstrable experience in the security industry (essential)
- Minimum 5 years in a senior management role (essential)
- Minimum 3 years managing multiple sites/contracts (essential)
- Industry recognised qualification (desirable)
- Valid SIA front‑line licence (essential)
- IOSH or similar qualified (essential)
- Proven management skills with ability to lead and motivate a team (essential)
- Excellent client facing skills (essential)
- Excellent time management, organisational and interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Experience writing and presenting risk reviews and business cases
- Proactive and professional approach to security
Duties
- Operational management accountability for the allocated portfolio of contracts
- Liaise with clients to ensure KPIs and SLAs are met and exceeded
- Build positive relationships with client base through regular meetings and ongoing communications
- Create annual/quarterly strategic operational objectives for all allocated contracts / site leads
- Ensure all Unitrust and client policies and procedures are adhered to and reviewed regularly
- Lead and motivate security teams, ensuring ethos and core values of Unitrust and clients permeate roles
- Forge strong relationships with other service providers and stakeholders
- Ensure all issues and incidents are dealt with and reported in a timely, professional and efficient manner
- Manage administration and welfare of site security teams, including induction, continuation training, probation, objective setting during annual appraisals
- Review, update and contribute to improving standards and procedures for the company and clients
- Support senior management in writing and presenting tenders
- Actively support the company’s growth strategy and vision
- Proactively identify potential problems at an early stage and offer practical solutions
- Suggest improvements to operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop relationships with local Police and community forums
- Generate ideas and innovations, implement new security procedures where appropriate
- Develop teams and ensure training requirements are identified and training programmes implemented
- Promote and develop best practice working routines throughout security
- Attend networking events both inside and outside normal office hours
- Main working days Monday to Friday; hours required as needed
