We are now looking for an Estates Management Officer to join us on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a conservation, asset, land or estate management professional with strong project management skills to join our National Park Authority and make a lasting difference in one of the UK’s most iconic landscapes.
The Role
As an Estates Management Officer, you will support the delivery of our Estate Strategy and a range of projects to enable our estate management activities.
Specifically, you will deliver projects that ensure the estate remains in excellent condition, working with tenants, graziers and stakeholders and issuing licences for activities and events on national park land.
From building maintenance to land management and structural repair, you will support the effective running of the estate, overseeing works and supporting the Estates Manager in day-to-day estate operations.
About You
To be considered as an Estates Management Officer, you will need:
- Practical knowledge of conservation, asset management, land management or estate management
- Project management skills with the ability to deliver to budget
- Experience of drafting specifications and managing contractors
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation relating to asset management
- An understanding of Exmoor and the aims and purposes of the National Park Authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competence in using IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office, GIS (such as QGIS), and MS Planner
- The willingness to work independently and outdoors in all weathers
- A strong team-working ethos
- A relevant degree or equivalent (e.g. countryside management, rural business studies, or similar specialisms)
