Supply Chain Security Manager (Edgewing)
Location:
Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.
Salary:
£70,000+ Dependent of skills and experience
What You'll Be Doing
* Take a lead role in shaping Supply Chain Security policies, operational support, and assurance activities in collaboration with key stakeholders
* Define and agree minimum viable security requirements with suppliers, embedding these into supplier contracts in partnership with the Supply Chain team
* Develop practical guidance, tools, and processes to support effective supply chain security management at all levels, aligned with Programme objectives and PSI regulations
* Support supplier adherence to security risk management policies through regular reporting, audits, and contract-based security testing
* Create a process for ongoing improvement of supply chain security by working with suppliers to enhance their security practices for both risk mitigation and business benefit
Essential
Your skills and experiences
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills, communicating with senior leaders across multiple functions
* Ideally experienced in delivering and leading across multinational government and industry stakeholder groups
* Proven experience in supply chain security, with a focus on complex supply chain risk management (SCRM), risk management lifecycles and the use of recognised supply chain frameworks
* Experience in the formation or contribution of supply chain security policies
* Demonstrates influence and impact on business decisions, contributing meaningfully to the development of policy and strategic approach

The Edgewing Security Product and Supply Chain team
You will be joining a highly motivated, experienced team within the BAE Systems Air sector, committed to the delivery and progression of a Future Combat Air System (FCAS) for the UK. You will play a central role in working across a diverse stakeholder group of functional and delivery teams including tri national industry and government colleagues from across our partner nations to support the delivery of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).
