Key responsibilities as Senior Mortgage Underwriter: Underwrite complex mortgage and equity release cases in line with policy and regulatory standards Provide technical guidance and mentoring to underwriters Support quality assurance, policy interpretation, and process improvement Act as a senior escalation point for risk and lending decisions Were looking for a Senior Mortgage Underwriter with: Significant underwriting experience, ideally including Equity Release Strong knowledge of mortgage regulation and risk assessment Confident decision-maker with excellent stakeholder communication skills This will be an initial 6-month contract, with a start date expected immediately, but comes with the likely option to extend further for successful candidates.
You will be working Monday-Friday, (37.5 hours per week).
This involves being onsite for the first 4 weeks for initial training, followed by 4 days a week onsite thereafter.
In return, you will receive a salary of £400 per day, via an umbrella company.
