About the role
SZC is owned by shareholders EDF and HMG, with investments managed through NNB Holdings Company (SZC) Limited. The shareholdings are subject to change during the project.
The company's scope includes designing, financing, constructing, commissioning, operating, maintaining, and decommissioning the Sizewell C nuclear power plant and related infrastructure, including activities like hydrogen, direct air capture, and desalination.
Initially operated under EDF, SZC is transitioning to direct employment and aims to deliver a new nuclear power plant, leveraging EDF's established UK nuclear capabilities.
The project delivery is divided into five programs, with this role situated within the Civils Alliance comprising Laing O'Rourke, Bouygues, and Balfour Beatty.
What you'll be doing
The Logistics Leader will demonstrate thought leadership, develop team capabilities, and align work with SZC's strategic goals. The role involves strategic planning in London, with regular visits to Suffolk, and full-time presence in Suffolk during the civils phase.
Responsibilities include logistics mapping, materials forecasting, transport planning, data reporting, site support setup, supply chain coordination, facility management, and advocating for sustainability and innovation.
Who we're looking for
Knowledge & Skills
* Experience in large UK civil engineering projects (essential)
* Nuclear/license condition experience (desirable)
Qualifications & Experience
* CSCS Black Managers card (essential)
* IOSH Managing Safety or SMSTS (essential)
* CILT Level 5 Diplomas (desirable)
