A day in the life of…
As Head Housekeeper you will be responsible of leading the housekeeping team and being a key member of the Hotel’s Management team. You will display a proactive and innovative approach to skill development and enhancement in your team while accurately assessing needs of the business in terms of staffing and ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained and monitored throughout the hotel. Finally, you will co-ordinate constructively with both reception and reservations so that the day-to-day operational requirements are successfully delivered.
Based in the Holiday Inn Southend you will be part of a family of passionate people who know that being the best doesn’t always mean working around the clock. Located next to London Southend Airport. Holiday Inn Southend boasts 129 modern bedrooms, conference & events facilities and '1935' our Rooftop restaurant and bar.
What do we need from you?
To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and living through our brand standards. You will thrive under pressure, be a great communicator and be flexible with working days according to business demand. which must include weekends and shifts that start mid morining and into the evening. You will manage housekeeping budgets, including labour, linen and supplies, whilst monitoring stock usage and waste control. In addition you will oversee the daily cleaning operations across all areas of the hotel whilst ensuring rooms and public areas meet brand and cleanliness standards.
