Project Design Engineer – Electrical
The Project Design Engineer – Electrical manages projects through the outline and detailed design lifecycle, working alongside a Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure technical, constructability and commercial aspects are considered throughout.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from the initial outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning and handover.
* Coordinating the multidisciplinary project team (civil, electrical, mechanical and process designers, BIM modelers and technical specialists) to keep designs on programme, within budget and to the required quality.
* Undertaking design work in the electrical discipline and mentoring less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
* Building positive relationships with the client’s project, operational and technical assurance teams to promote a "one‑team" approach.
* Working as part of a "project triangle" and ensuring technical, constructability and commercial aspects of project delivery are considered throughout.
What You’ll Need
* Accredited Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Incorporated Member of an Engineering Institution.
* Outline and detailed design experience on water or wastewater projects.
* Knowledge of Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
