As an integral part of the Commercial Team, your main responsibility will be to drive the performance of procurement decisions across various healthcare schemes. You will evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate terms and prices, and ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and adherence to specifications.
You must have effective communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. You will play a strategic role in nurturing supplier relationships, advancing rebate opportunities, and ensuring all contractual conditions are met with purchase and subcontract orders.
Responsibilities:
1. Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing to improve cost plan allowances.
2. Develop a good understanding of how your work integrates with wider project teams.
3. Resolve issues based on knowledge and adherence to established company procedures.
4. Explain technical information to others and understand or challenge procurement scheduled materials for correctness.
5. Identify potential alternative suppliers to expand the existing supply chain.
6. Proactively manage suppliers to achieve timely deliveries.
7. Avoid potential risks related to late product delivery.
8. Recognize items requiring immediate purchasing priority to meet deadlines.
9. Manage plant hire budgets and chase off-hire confirmations.
10. Onboard new suppliers.
11. Generate and populate packing lists in liaison with the Factory Storeman.
Candidate Attributes:
* Previous experience working within a fast-paced purchasing function.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
* Excellent attention to detail.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
