Asbestos Lab Analyst and Quality Checker (Full‑time, Permanent) – Dartford, UK.
The PA Group UK is a multidisciplinary, health and safety executive licensed asbestos removal and UKAS‑accredited asbestos inspection and testing contractor. The company is part of the RSK Group and provides high‑quality services to a mixed portfolio of clients.
Main responsibilities / duties
* Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
* Preparing samples for analysis.
* Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.
* Reporting analytical findings.
* Ensuring appropriate storage and retention of samples.
* Generating certificates of analysis and issuing them to clients, and performing other general laboratory and administrative duties.
* Quality checking asbestos survey reports.
Generally, the applicant will be flexible, have a strong work ethic, and be able to carry out the work effectively and within required turnaround times.
Person Specification
* The applicant must have attained the P401 qualification and have significant experience working within this role in a laboratory/office environment and within the asbestos field. Awareness of the requirements of the second edition of HSG248 is desirable.
* Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Must have good organisational and IT skills.
* Must have a full UK driving licence and vehicle due to location, or alternative means of transport.
* Experience in quality checking of asbestos survey reports is desirable but full training can also be provided.

* Salary in excess of £27,000, depending on experience.
