Hire Desk Controller | Monday to Friday
Location: Derby
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday | Full-Time

My client, a well-established independent plant and equipment hire business, is on the lookout for an organised and experienced Hire Desk Controller to support their day-to-day operations. This is a vital administrative and customer service role, ensuring smooth coordination between customers, drivers, and internal teams.
What you’ll be doing in your new Hire Desk Controller role
Handling inbound hire requests via phone and email
Processing hire orders and maintaining accurate records
Coordinating with drivers, depot teams and workshops
Managing equipment availability and delivery schedules
Responding to customer enquiries and issues in a timely manner
Supporting the depot’s daily administration and system updatesThe successful Hire Desk Controller will have
Previous experience in a hire desk or service coordinator role (preferred)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
Proficiency with computer systems and internal databases

Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday working pattern (no weekends)
