Part-time Tutors in English reading and writing/elementary school math
Oxford Learning South Surrey Grandview Heights has openings for upbeat, passionate, enthusiastic, and dynamic tutors who seek work in a rewarding teaching environment. Our Programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits.
Candidates must possess a strong passion for seeing students succeed and must be comfortable teaching students ranging in age from Kindergarten to Grade 8 in English.
Tutors at Oxford Learning Centre are trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods. Experience helping students with their homework is a plus.
Position Requirements
Oxford Learning Centre is open weekdays during after-school and evening hours as well as on Saturdays. Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written English and be comfortable teaching up to Grade 8.
This role is in-person at the Centre.
Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

1. Working towards a bachelor’s degree or similar certification and/or experience in a relevant field
Experience:
2. Strong English written and oral communication skills
3. Experience tutoring/teaching
4. Ability to multitask
Responsibilities (Position Details)
You will work directly with students with the following responsibilities:
5. Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
6. Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
7. Filling in post-lesson notes
8. Completing daily student communication updates
9. Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Salary Range: $20 / hour
Schedule:
14. 3pm to early evening based on student schedules
15. shifts available Monday to Saturday
16. flexible to work around your university schedule
