Job Description

As a C&S Lead Technician in our established and expanding Nuclear team, you will engage in a diverse and growing array of both international and UK-based projects. Your responsibilities include client interaction, crafting bids and proposals, and overseeing project delivery in line with AECOM's standards for quality, safety, and environmental care.

We seek individuals who can apply their skills independently and as part of a team to deliver projects to the benefit of our Clients. The role requires experience in a regulated, quality-assured system, preferably in the nuclear industry, with a focus on drafting tasks.


What You’ll Do

* Produce detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as Autocad, Civil 3D, CADS RC, and Tekla.
* Develop drawings and models for civil and structural elements, including foundations, beams, columns, walls, and other structural components.
* Update and maintain existing drawings and models as required.
* Work closely with civil and structural engineers, architects, and other design team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
* Ensure all drawings and models comply with industry standards, regulations, and company quality procedures.

Qualifications

The successful technician will have/be:

* Qualified with an HNC or higher TEC Diploma; academic education to HNC level in general education.
* Competent in the use of Revit and one or more of the following drawing platforms: Autocad, Civil 3D, CADS RC, Tekla.
* Ability to prepare drawings in a wide variety of construction materials including concrete (with reinforcement detailing), steelwork, and masonry, independently or as a specialist.
* Consistent production of work in accordance with nuclear processes and procedures.
* Knowledge of relevant codes and procedures associated with preparing drawings.
* Demonstrated leadership of a draughting team and mentorship of junior technician resources.
* Experience checking and verifying drawings within a regulated and assured quality management system.

You will also be self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously where required, a strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn, and a desire to work in a deadline-driven team environment.
