Main duties of the job
The role of a Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker is to assist, support and work in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and the wider multidisciplinary team; to provide a safe and holistic approach to person-centred care. The Senior Clinical Support Worker should actively contribute to the health and well-being of patients, staff and service users and be able to communicate effectively with sensitivity and compassion. They should be able to work independently within their sphere of nursing while under the supervision of registered nurses. Senior Clinical Support Workers should demonstrate a level of skill and understanding which enables them to undertake specific skills and tasks delegated by the registered nurse and in accordance with relevant procedures, guidelines and policies at UHNM. They will be required to undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent. Key to this role is flexibility with the requirement for staff to work variable shifts over 7 days a week on a week by week basis within agreed limits.
We are a clinic area specialising in the treatment of conditions affecting the Ear, Nose and Throat.
We are looking for a senior clinical nursing assistant band 3 that has a caring nature and skills to care for a complex group of patients that include having undergone major head and neck surgery. Therefore you must have previous caring experience working within an ENT speciality area.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
* 12 months experience in a professional contract as a Healthcare Assistant or equivalent.
Desirable
* Have ENT experience.
Qualifications Essential
