Trainee Archaeologist – Worcestershire Archaeology
Location: Worcester, United Kingdom
Salary: £24,796 – £25,185 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: 9‑month fixed term
Join an innovative commercial archaeology team to learn field archaeology and earn an NVQ (Level 3) in Archaeological Practice, automatically entitling you to PCIfA status and the opportunity to continue as a qualified archaeologist.
Responsibilities
* Participate in site-based archaeological fieldwork across the West Midlands
* Work alongside experienced staff on commercial projects and support the team’s high‑quality fieldwork
* Complete training modules and maintain accurate records of field activities
* Assist in reporting and presentation of findings to clients and stakeholders
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Archaeological Practice (or equivalent)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to learning and development in archaeology
* Willingness to travel to field sites as required
