The Oxford-based Land & Development team at Bidwells is expanding, and we are looking for a talented, driven and qualified Senior or Associate level Surveyorto join us. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in one of Bidwells’ most dynamic teams, working on some of the most exciting development projects in the region.
You’ll be joining a fun, collaborative, entrepreneurial team that’s shaping the future of the Oxford to Cambridge Arc. We work with high-profile landowners and developers across Oxfordshire and beyond, delivering exceptional schemes where people want to live, work and play.
In this varied role, you’ll provide expert development consultancy advice, land sales advice, strategic consultancy as well as help shape long-term strategy and vision to ensure our trusted clients’ opportunities are maximised to their full potential.
This role will ideally be full time (37 hours a week, Monday-Friday) however we will also consider part-time options for the right candidate.
What you’ll be doing:
* Acting as the principal contact for clients, delivering first-class service and strategic advice.
* Advising on promotion agreements, option agreements, conditional contracts and planning matters.
* Identifying and marketing residential development land opportunities.
* Leading and supporting on a wide range of development projects, from strategic land agreements, land search to immediate land sales, as well as cross-divisional projects.
* Building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry professionals, including networking.
* Business development and marketing initiatives, contributing to the team’s growth strategy and cross-selling.
* Mentoring junior team members and supporting their professional development.
* Work closely alongside other teams and departments internally, including rural, planning, new homes, energy & renewables, project management and commercial.
* Maintaining up-to-date market/legislation knowledge.
About You:
* MRICS qualified with relevant experience in development consultancy.
* Strong knowledge of the planning system and residential development process.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Commercially astute with strong project and resource management abilities.
* Knowledge of the Oxfordshire region/market.
* Experience working with housebuilders or promoters.
* Familiarity with Argus software.
* A good sense of humour and a collaborative mindset.
