We are seeking an ambitious Structural Digital Technician to join our Birmingham or Peterborough Industry & Buildings team. You will be an integral part of our skilled Civil & Structural team, assisting with our growing workload.
You will work on a variety of projects from industrial and commercial clients, preparing quality deliverables for structural aspects, including developing coordinated 3D models and outputs. Flexibility and a proactive attitude are essential to support the development of our team.
Our projects span sectors such as industrial, logistics, buildings, food & beverage, and automotive.
Main responsibilities include:
* Preparing structural models and drawings
* Maintaining quality of deliverables
* Performing clash detection and coordination
* Contributing to project BIM Execution Plans
* Planning BIM deliverables and managing document issues within the Common Data Environment
* Developing parametric and automation tools
* Supporting knowledge sharing and quality systems development
* Assisting in the development of BIM / DWOW within the team
Required skills and experience:
* HNC/HND in Civil & Structural Engineering or related field
* Extensive experience with Revit and AutoCAD
* Experience in 3D reinforced concrete detailing
* Technical expertise in Structural disciplines
* Understanding of BIM processes (ISO19650)
* Ability to manage tasks and ensure timely delivery
* Experience with family libraries and clash detection software like Navisworks/Revizto is advantageous
* Familiarity with CDE platforms such as Asite, BIM360, etc.
