What you'll be doing
Reporting to the People Officer, you will be responsible for:
* Timely monitoring and processing of the absence process including daily administration of the absence line, AWOL process, return to work interviews, self-certifications and fit notes and coordination of absence meeting documentation.
* Providing administration support to the People Officer including minute taking, monitoring the HR inbox and maintaining relevant KPI trackers.
* Completing invitation and outcome letter for disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings.
* Processing and monitoring all aspects of occupational health appointments and welfare calls, including the processing of Nights/FLT medical surveillance forms.
* Assisting in the planning and coordinating of health and wellbeing initiatives across site in line with current absence trends.
* Supporting management teams and colleagues with first line HR advice.
What we need from you
Essential
You will be able to demonstrate strong administration skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent planning, prioritising and organising skills. You will show a considerable level of independence in day-to-day interactions with management teams and colleagues. You will have experience delivering first line HR experience and knowledge of current employment law and best practice, which will be demonstrated through CIPD qualification or relevant experience. Experience of working time and attendance and HRIS systems and intermediate to advance excel skills are essential.
Desirable
It would be advantageous if you have experience handling low level ER cases.
