Job Overview
Full time 37.5 hours per week. Working 4 days per week, 8am – 6pm plus on-call over weekends and evenings.
Main Duties of the Job
Busy orthopaedic radiology department carrying out all types of general and specialist examinations. All radiographers rotate to general x‑ray, fluoroscopy and theatres. Band 6 radiographers also take a lead role within designated areas of the department and act as Duty Radiographer. Participation in our on‑call rota for evenings and weekends is required.
Responsibilities
* Assist department superintendents with the supervision of staff and students.
* Provide training and encourage the highest professional and technical standards in all staff by personal example and constructive supervision.
* Supervise and lead in designated department areas and act as Duty Radiographer.
* Participate in on‑call rota for evenings and weekends.
* Collaborate with the team to deliver high quality MSK imaging.
Qualifications
* Minimum two years experience in orthopaedic radiography.
* NHS experience.
* HCPC registration.
* Involved in audits.
* BSc qualifications and experience in orthopaedic radiography.
