Job Overview
- Protect the customer’s property, people, and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and any subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet or exceed key performance indicators / Service Level Agreements, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
- Comply with all policies, statutes, and industry regulations, including obtaining a front‑line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision and a CCTV PSS SIA Licence.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements, report health & safety hazards, stay alert to threats, and maintain professional conduct.
- Maintain accurate notebook entries and other incident reporting as required.
- Ensure check calls are performed at allocated time slots and call emergency services/Communication Centre when incidents occur.
- Continuously develop skills through required competency training and additional self‑development training.
Main Duties
- Be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies, relevant legal & regulatory requirements, and UK law.
- Fully complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published AI’s.
- Proactively review the AI’s and suggest amendments to improve service level.
- Work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way, following instructions and procedures appropriately.
Training
- Complete all required competency training.
- Engage in additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through professional development.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
- Look out for and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to any threats or changes in the work environment to take appropriate action to reduce risk.
- Use common sense and involve others if a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries after incidents.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to the Company and client.
- Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
Qualifications
- SIA Licence required.
- SC Clearance desirable.
