Description
This maternity cover position involves managing the day-to-day operations of the Inspiring Skills Excellence project in Wales. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, with responsibilities including administrative management, stakeholder engagement, promotional activities, and supporting the project team to achieve its objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Director and external partners, occasionally working evenings, weekends, and traveling within the UK and abroad.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage all administrative, financial, and organizational duties related to the project;
2. Develop systems and processes to support project outcomes;
3. Collaborate with external partners for smooth project delivery;
4. Draft press releases and promotional materials, utilizing social media;
5. Record and maintain project data and performance records;
6. Assist in planning and managing events, including international ones;
7. Contribute to the project plan to meet objectives within the specified timeframe;
8. Manage project budgets and ensure timely submission of claims;
9. Support the Project Director and manage the core delivery team;
10. Implement and oversee the Competitor Support grants;
11. Prepare quarterly project reports and monitor performance against targets;
12. Perform other duties as directed by senior management.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Essential:
* GCSE English and Mathematics at minimum Grade C or equivalent;
* Experience in project management and delivery;
* At least two years of relevant administrative experience;
* Proficiency in spreadsheets and databases;
* Competence with various IT systems and packages;
* Experience in drafting promotional materials;
* Experience working with external agencies;
* Web and social media content creation skills;
* Strong communication, diplomacy, and organizational skills;
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable:
* Degree in marketing, public relations, or related field;
* Experience engaging with employers.
Welsh Language Requirements:
* Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 2
* Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 2
