Overview
CLCH NHS Trust provides a wide range of community services across Hertfordshire. We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our friendly, multidisciplinary team in a 20‑bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. This is an opportunity to work with patients recovering from stroke and other neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
* Deliver specialist, evidence‑based occupational therapy, contributing to patient recovery and rehabilitation.
* Engage in continuous professional development and foster a culture of innovation, learning and improvement.
* Provide specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients with stroke and neurological conditions.
* Manage a caseload of patients with complex physical, cognitive and emotional needs, facilitating positive rehabilitation outcomes and timely discharge plans.
* Collaborate with the wider multi‑disciplinary team to develop integrated, evidence‑based services.
* Offer guidance, advice and information to health and social care professionals, patients, carers and relatives.
* Supervise and support staff members and students.
* Contribute to a 7‑day service on a rotational basis and provide support across Hertfordshire bedded units as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered Occupational Therapist with relevant experience in neurological rehabilitation.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Commitment to professional development and evidence‑based practice.
* Ability to manage complex caseloads with empathy and professionalism.
