Main duties of the job
We are currently seeking to appoint a Head of Workplace Wellbeing within our /People and Culture Directorate to support the implementation of our Health and Wellbeing Plan. This position is well-suited to a Clinical Psychologist or a Clinician/Paramedic with therapy training.
This role is available on a full time basis, with opportunities for part-time employment. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with our Occupational Health, Wellbeing, and Organisational Development teams to promote staff wellbeing. This key post supports the ongoing expansion of the department and is integral to ensuring the delivery of trauma-informed care, encompassing both individual therapeutic interventions and expert consultation for teams and managers across the Welsh Ambulance Service.
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates confidence in working at all organisational levels, possesses a strong interest and understanding of trauma, and can build positive engagement with national NHS and Ambulance networks.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Educated to Masters Level in Mental Health related subject, Clinical Psychology, or equivalent qualification in Counselling Psychology, giving eligibility for membership of the Division of Clinical Psychology or the Division of Counselling Psychology of the British Psychological Society
* Therapy qualification at diploma with accredited supervised experience or Masters level therapy qualification.
* Has kept up-to-date with relevant current clinical practice.
* Experience of line management, clinical supervision or close working with Counsellors.
* Clinical supervision training.
* Further academic qualifications relevant to staff well-being or counselling.
* Experience of developing and implementing organisational interventions.
* Supervision of Clinical or Counselling Psychologists, Trainee Applied Psychologists, and other professional colleagues.

* Able to provide line management and supervision for the Staff Well-being Service.

* Has knowledge of the Professional Issues effecting Applied Psychology in the NHS and is familiar with key strategic documents relevant to staff well - being.
