Environmental Project Manager
WSP is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our Environmental Project Management Team based in the UK & Ireland. You will play a key role supporting the delivery of a diverse range of environmentally led projects across the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development of project proposals and determine project requirements, scope, resources and cost estimates.
* Prepare and maintain project management documentation including plans, schedules, risk registers, stakeholder registers and forecasts.
* Monitor and control the project schedule, staff hours, budgets and expenditure for smaller scale projects and assist Senior Project Managers on larger projects.
* Ensure health and safety information for site visits is in place and secure internal approvals.
* Manage contracts and contract administration, actively drive project change and risk management, ensuring governance compliance.
* Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary environmental project teams.
* Represent WSP on environmental consents and client interfaces, fostering strong relationships.
Qualifications
* Supply chain experience in the environmental or sustainability sectors and a can‑do attitude.
* Strong communicator – written and verbal, able to convey key points and keep stakeholders informed.
* Experience as Assistant or Senior Project Manager in a PMO or project environment, preferably in environmental or sustainability.
* Working knowledge of programme management, MS Project/Primavera P6 or similar.
* Commercial and contractual awareness with a proven track record of delivering projects on budget and managing change control.
* Membership of a relevant professional body (PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS) or working towards chartership/other accreditation.
