JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Project Manager who will help shape and deliver commercial design and build projects from early planning through to completion.
As a Project Manager you will oversee cost planning, design coordination, procurement strategies, and subcontractor management, ensuring quality, compliance, and effective programme delivery.
The Project Manager will also support pre-construction activities, lead on reporting and variations, and work closely with internal teams to drive project success while maintaining strong client relationships.
DUTIES
* Develop and Maintain Programmes: Create detailed build programmes and timelines using Microsoft Project.
* Lead Pre-Construction Activity: Attend client meetings, define requirements, and support design and estimating teams.
* Coordinate Project Delivery: Manage AV, Electrical, HVAC, Fire Detection and Data disciplines across the full lifecycle.
* Ensure Compliance: Uphold CDM and Health and Safety regulations, mitigating risks.
* Manage Commercial Controls: Monitor profitability, control variations, and oversee valuations and payment applications.
* Deliver Reporting: Produce accurate weekly project reports and maintain variation logs.
* Lead Teams: Conduct 1:1s, mentor team members, support training, and participate in recruitment.
* Support Tendering: Assist with cost plans, early-stage risk registers, and technical tender input.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Proven experience of managing commercial fit-out, construction or design and build projects.
* Experience with Microsoft Project and project reporting systems.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract structures such as JCT.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A background in leading multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
