An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chef Supervisor to join the Team at The Royal Oldham Hospital to be responsible for the direction and supervision of all Retail/Kitchen staff.
You will provide a high standard of catering for patients, staff, and visitors whilst ensuring Food safety and standards are kept at a high standard.
You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, service and distribution for all aspects of food production to patients, staff and visitors and any associated duties, ensuring the correct and economical use of materials and equipment.
You will be able to work without supervision at the stated place of work, but may be asked to work at any of the Trust’s Kitchens as required.
Responsibilities
* Organisation and running of all aspects of the Kitchen.
* Play a key role in the development of patient staff and hospitality menus.
* Ensure that all Allergen information is regularly checked and updated as and when needed.
* Ensure the quality and quantity of goods checked in, and relevant documentation is correct.
* Report any irregularities in stock deliveries to the Supplier.
* Ensure the quality and appearance of all food served to patients, staff and hospitality is of the highest standard.
* Update and create standard recipes as and when needed, and ensure they are adhered to.
* Liaise with catering, ward staff and other departments to ensure efficient running of services and maintain good communications.
* Check and monitor that all HACCP paperwork is completed, and submitted to the manager on a weekly basis.
* Ensure all regulations are complied with throughout the department (Food Hygiene, Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, Manual Handling and Fire Training).
