We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our UK finance team in Kings Hill, West Malling.

As a Management Accountant at Westfalia Fruit, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the core financial operations of a leading global fresh produce business. This hands-on role involves leading P&L reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting, and audit preparation, while ensuring compliance with financial standards. You’ll take ownership of IFRS 16 reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and collaborate cross-functionally to support cost controls and effective stock management. In addition to authorising payments and approving customer rebates, you’ll also contribute to the successful rollout of our new finance ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).



Responsibilities include:

* Support Sales and Purchase Ledger teams as needed and assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
* Perform daily and weekly reporting on turnover and profitability, working closely with Sales, Retail, and Cost Accounting teams to analyse significant variances.
* Maintain balance sheet integrity through timely reconciliations, including complex global intercompany balances and IFRS 16 lease reporting.
* Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and 5-year strategic plans, as well as monthly P&L reviews and journal processing for accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
* Provide key reporting on volumes, prices, and assumptions to support financial planning and monthly business reviews (MBR).
* Review Holly Lodge Management Accounts alongside the Cost Accountant and Financial Controller.
* Authorise multi-currency weekly payment runs and customer rebates, ensuring accuracy of rebate calculations.
* Collaborate with Operations on tray and packaging stock management, including quarterly audits in Spalding and reconciliation of GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced).
* Support the implementation and rollout of the new finance ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365), contributing to process improvements and system testing.
* Carry out ad hoc financial tasks and projects to support business priorities and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

* ACCA/ACA/CIMA finalist or Qualified by Experience (QBE) with a background in a comparable finance role within a commercial enterprise.
* In-depth knowledge of IFRS and other pertinent finance regulations and legislation.
* High level of expertise in MS Excel, including functions such as Pivot Tables, Xlookups, etc.
* Strong organisational abilities with a proven track record of meeting stringent deadlines while upholding quality standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering productive relationships with stakeholders across all levels and conveying critical financial information to both finance professionals and non-financial personnel.
* Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Desirable

* Experience in FMCG, food production, manufacturing or retail environments would be adventurous.
* Previous exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
* Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
