The role
Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements:
- At least 7 years of hands-on professional experience in the Java enterprise environment
- Experience building enterprise financial solutions
- Experience with Agile and test-driven development
- Experience working in a distributed global environment
- Experience investigating and resolving security-related findings
- Experience upgrading and working with 3rd-party open-source dependencies
- Very good expertise in Java SE/JEE and TypeScript
- Very good expertise in software design patterns, integration patterns, and enterprise architectural concepts
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and middleware, JMS, and JPA/Hibernate
- Good understanding of web frontend technologies such as Angular v2, Observables, and Redux
- Experience integrating with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, with a good understanding of OAuth, OpenID Connect, and Single Sign-on
- Experience adapting and integrating open-source frameworks and technologies
- Very strong communication skills and fluent English
- Team player with willingness to take responsibility
- Passion for software development
- Bonus: experience with integration frameworks and patterns such as Apache Camel
- Bonus: understanding of Jenkins, Harness IO, and Apache Kafka
Responsibilities: - Investigate and resolve security findings across multiple versions
- Ensure false positives are properly explained to the central security team and approved as false positives
- Upgrade dependencies in both Java and TypeScript/JavaScript libraries
- Resolve security vulnerabilities in no longer supported open-source libraries
- Ensure security-related changes do not break existing functionality
