Responsibilities of the Role Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness of the service and Laundry causing minimal disruption to our services users and their care; Practice safe systems of work eg moving & handling by assessing the risk and following best practice Use a variety of cleaning products paying particular attention to COSHH regulated products; Understand the cleaning requirements for different surfaces and equipment Communicate and engage effectively with our service users, their families and colleagues, reflecting good interpersonal and working relationship skills at all times Be Health and Safety aware, to ensure the safety of our services users and colleagues. Understand your responsibilities under the Health & safety and fire safety Acts Ensure the safe and tidy storage of supplies Report any faults with equipment to include requirement for maintenance/replacement General information Participate in induction programme and in-service training. Attend and participate in staff meetings if required Adhere to and ensure safe practice according to Health and Safety policies.
