Complex Emotional Needs Care Coordinator / Key Worker

An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a motivated and enthusiastic Key Worker to become a full-time member of the new Complex Emotional Needs Service.

This role is ideal for a passionate and energetic professional to join a dedicated team working closely together to provide high-quality, evidence-based treatments in a psychologically informed way. The role is suited for someone with a special interest in working with individuals with complex emotional needs and developing their therapeutic knowledge and skills.

The whole team values clinical supervision and reflective spaces, utilizing skills and psychological models to expand their thinking.


Main duties of the job

* To work as a core member of the community Complex Emotional Needs Service.
* To work alongside senior clinicians to ensure the treatment programme is delivered, monitored, and evaluated, including group work as required.
* To be committed to effective team working and coherent delivery of treatment and therapy.
* To promote a high standard of patient care.
* To work within the Trust's policies and standards, including the Community Mental Health Teams Operational Policy and CEN Policy.
* Participate as a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in Community Mental Health Services, transitioning to the Complex Emotional Needs Service upon implementation.
* To deliver all aspects of Care Coordination to the highest quality standards, utilizing available resources including supervision and consultation with Key Workers and staff.
* To provide in-reach support to the wider Navigo teams and Primary Care Networks.

Job responsibilities

* To provide specialist assessments of clients using complex data, including psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, observations, and interviews.
* To formulate and implement plans for psychological treatment based on evidence-based methods.
* To evaluate and decide on treatment options considering complex individual factors.
* To manage an individual caseload involving individual and group therapy.
* To provide specialist clinical advice and guidance to other professionals, contributing to clients' formulation, diagnosis, and treatment plans.


Person Specification


Additional Requirements

* Driving Licence - Must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.


Knowledge

* Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
* NICE guidelines, NSF, Clinical Governance.
* Current research and Person-Centred Care.
* Audit processes.


Qualifications

* 2-3 years post-professional qualification.
* Relevant training and courses.


Experience

* Working with Personality Disorders/Complex Emotional Needs.
* Working with adults of all ages.
* Within a CPA framework.
* Risk management training and experience.
* Liaising with other teams/services, e.g., GPs, voluntary sector.
* Innovative practice in nursing/social work.
* Key-worker/care coordinator experience.
* Participation in recruitment and care management roles.
