The Role: Trainee Polisher
This is an exciting opportunity to become a valued member of a family business with a reputation for high quality products and service. This is a rare opportunity to learn traditional skills in Spray Polishing with paint and lacquer.
Candidates must be keen to learn and be able to demonstrate good timekeeping, reliability and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Health and Safety
* Manage solvents and paints in line with COSHH
* Manage spray activities and equipment to comply with DSEAR Assessment
* Keep work area and stores clean and safe
2. Quality
* High quality finishes for Spray Coatings for Lacquers and Paints
* Organised material preparation and ability to recognise joinery defects
* Ensuring products and materials stored to ensure quality of materials
* Equipment management and maintenance
3. Environment
* Ensure filters for extraction maintained and replaced as required
* Arranging correct storage and disposal of waste
* Be part of the Pollution Spill Response Team
