Role Profile – Assistant Project Manager
The Role
An Assistant Project Manager is an important member of our client’s development team (a leading property developer). The successful candidate will support the Project Director and wider development team in delivering projects and will take ownership of defined project tasks and workstreams.

The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Director, Development Managers/Directors and New Homes teams to support the successful delivery of projects and the continued growth of the business. Experience in mixed-use or regeneration schemes would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary depending on project requirements but are expected to include:
* Supporting the preparation of bids for new development opportunities.
* Assisting with procurement and appointment of consultant teams.
* Supporting the agreement and management of consultant fees in line with approvals and cashflows.
* Assisting in establishing and coordinating the client brief.
* Helping manage design, procurement programmes and associated approvals.
* Supporting budget monitoring to ensure projects remain within approved costs.
* Assisting with negotiation of third-party agreements, agreements for lease, and funding arrangements.
* Coordinating surveys, investigations, and statutory requirements.
* Supporting marketing and branding initiatives for developments.
* Assisting with procurement of main contractors and preparation of contract documentation.
* Supporting insurance procurement for developments.
* Monitoring construction progress, quality, and compliance through regular site visits.
* Assisting with construction cashflow monitoring and payment processes.
* Supporting project completion, handover, and defect management processes.
* Assisting in preparing project reports, forecasts, and scheme reviews.
* Helping maintain strong relationships with delivery partners and the regional property and construction market.
* Contributing to research, innovation initiatives, and continuous improvement across projects.
