Express Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside a well-established and growing packaging business who due to continued expansion are now looking to recruit an Internal Sales Executive to support their Northern sales area. This role sits on the packaging side of the business and will involve managing accounts covering the region from Junction 28 of the M1 up to Leeds. Working closely with an external Sales Manager you will be responsible for handling all enquiries and orders generated within this busy territory.
This is an office-based role with no cold calling as it is primarily email-led. The position offers a clear career progression pathway into an external sales role or further development as the business continues to grow.
Responsibilities
* Manage incoming enquiries and orders via email and telephone
* Prepare and issue customer quotations
* Answer inbound calls and liaise with customers regarding delivery times
* Upsell products where appropriate and identify commercial opportunities
* Log orders, process sales orders and raise purchase orders
* Support the External Sales Manager and help prioritise sales growth opportunities
Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar internal sales or account management role
* Background in packaging, print or brick merchants is advantageous but not essential
* Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing accounts independently
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills particularly email-based
* Professional telephone manner with a well‑organised approach
* Competent IT skills are essential
* Experience using Sage 100 is highly desirable
* Working knowledge of Excel and Sage accounts is beneficial
