Eden Scott's client is currently seeking an experienced Investment Oversight Analyst to join a dynamic team in Edinburgh, working on a day rate contract. This role plays a critical part in our clients global regulatory reporting oversight, ensuring reporting obligations are met across jurisdictions including EMIR, SFTR, MAS, ASIC, CFTC, CSA, and MIFIR.
As part of the Regulatory Operations function, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely transmission of trade and transaction reports to regulators, reconciliation of positions, and generation of key compliance metrics. This is a high-visibility role, ideal for someone with a strong controls mindset and deep understanding of regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor timely transmission and successful receipt of regulatory reports.
* Reconcile trading positions to validate data completeness and accuracy.
* Produce oversight metrics to support internal and external compliance reviews.
* Ensure escalation processes are followed and support remediation activities as needed.
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Compliance, Technology, and Operations.
* Proactively identify control gaps and support process improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required:
* 1-3 years' experience in Investment Operations, preferably in Trade and Transaction Reporting or Controls.
* Strong knowledge of global regulatory regimes (e.g. EMIR, SFTR, MiFIR, CFTC).
* Proven track record in monitoring, escalation, and resolution of data/reporting issues.
* Knowledge of derivatives and financial instruments.
* Experience supporting regulatory change projects or audit initiatives.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Technical aptitude - SQL and/or Python skills are a strong advantage.
* Process improvement mindset with experience in implementing change.
