We are looking for an experienced Store Manager for a National Schoolwear retailer in Oxford to lead the day-to-day operations in a busy store.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth branch operations, delivering exceptional customer service, managing team performance, and achieving operational and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage stock control and inventory levels.
* Maintain excellent shop floor and stockroom standards.
* Lead and support branch supervisors.
* Manage branch financial responsibilities, including staffing budgets, petty cash, and contractor costs.
* Ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
* Complete daily banking procedures.
* Prepare and submit end-of-month reports and spreadsheets.
* Ensure branch dispatch targets are consistently achieved.
* Recruit, train, develop, and retain team members.
* Deliver and record ongoing training and development.
* Identify performance issues and implement improvement plans where required.
* Work closely with supervisors to achieve and maintain branch standards.
* Support employee wellbeing and foster a positive working environment.
* Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service.
* Act as the escalation point for customer complaints and queries.
* Monitor and respond to branch communications.
* Ensure customer service procedures are consistently followed, including telephone and email standards.
* Promote a customer-focused culture throughout the branch.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a management role.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
* Experience managing operational and financial responsibilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
